- I'm PC288LCD (Practical Peripherals) owner, I've been trying for the past few
- weeks to figure out how to configure my modem for a direct asynchronous 28.8
- connection with all protocols (V.34,V.FC,V.32bis & V.32) disabled - Is this
- even possible?? The only reference (in my manual - refman.txt) to disabling
- protocols is the S110 register, unfortunately there is no selection for
- disabling all protocols.
-
- By the way, I'm trying to configure my modem for a local BBS in order to play
- "4-Way Doom 2 Deathmatch" with the "Game Connection" (A software add-on for
- Major BBS software.) I have no problem disabling error correction &
- compression, but with V.34, V.FC, etc. I get a "jerky game." I've achieved
- the desired connection - straight asynchronous 28.8, with no V.34 - with a USR
-
- V. everything (borrowed modem.) I'm ready to buy a USR if I can't get this
- going! Suggestions anyone? Thanks!
